Cornmeal

A beloved and treasured friend in her nineties, introduced me to Weisenberger cornmeal several years ago. She also shared her family recipe that makes the most delicious cornbread. Weisenberger’s cornmeal and nothing else!
Every time I bake cornbread, I think of my dear friend.

We discovered Weisenberger Mill some years ago when someone fried fish using their signature fish batter mix. We have tried most of their products and the cornmeal is just as good as the rest. Homemade griddle-fried cornbread made with this cornmeal will make you think your ground the corn yourself. So fresh with great flavor. But my favorite way to use this cornmeal is to mix in some seasoning salt and dip in a catfish filet. The best southern cornmeal breaded fried catfish you will ever have is made with Weisenberger Mill's cornmeal!
