Absolutely 5 star

Bought 25 lb bag as a "trial". Excellent quality flour. So far I made panettone and pizza from it. Believe it or not my sourdough panettone came out even better than expected (I usually use high protein flour for it). Same with pizza. Came out great, even though I did not have time for longer (overnight) fermentation. Overall, this flour is versatile, excellent performer.

Great stuff!

I have enjoyed Weisenberger grits for many years, but never tried their flours. I do a lot of sourdough baking, and was curious if there would be a difference. I wanted 25 lb bags for unbleached bread flour, so I ordered online and drove over to the old mill to pick up. Also bought 5 lb bags of fine-grind hard whole wheat, and medium grind rye. The lift I got from the bread flour was noticeably better than other brand names and grocery store brands. I guess it could be coincidence, but over a half dozen different events, baking 6-8 loaves of bread or 4 dozen bagels at a time I have seen consistently superior performance. Love the stuff!

Ordered this flour for my sourdough baking and very happy with it.
Arrived quickly and well packaged, bakes up nicely. Was hoping I might notice a flavor difference being straight from the mill, but can’t say that it was clearly different from the King Arthur Bread flour we usually get. We live in Vermont though where that is produced, so if you live closer to Weisenberger, I would definitely recommend.

An’s Flour for A Year

Company is wonderful! I order the flour a year ago but was so busy I couldn’t come get it. They reached out via email to remind me and held it for me almost a year later. Though I haven’t tried out their flour yet I’m looking forward to make some French baguette
