Description

Also known as soft wheat or graham flour. It is best suited for use with baking powder as the leavening agent. We like the taste better than hard wheat bread flour. Use for biscuits, pie crust, soft rolls, and more. Made from soft red winter wheat, grown here in Kentucky.

Great in Brown Bread!

I noticed the description said not recommended for bread so I wanted to comment. Not sure how this would be in a yeast bread but I use this when I make my Irish Brown Bread and it's fabulous. Takes me right back to Dublin! YUM. Eating some now.

Delicious and Versatile

I received a cookbook from a friend as a wedding gift and it includes whole wheat pastry flour in lots of recipes - pancakes, cookies, muffins, you name it. I stopped by Whole Foods searching for some and was pleasantly surprised by the local option from Weisenberger. After loving those pancake, cookie & muffin recipes, I kept buying this WWPF and found reasons to incorporate into most of my desserts and pastries. Now, I’ve made a sourdough starter with this flour and bake loads of bread with it! It’s been great. I am hoping to make a white sourdough starter with their bread flour soon. Couldn’t speak higher of this product! Thank you, Weisenberger for this quality flour!
